STEVE HARPER is a TV writer, playwright, producer & actor whose writing investigates how we navigate the world when invisible forces make themselves present. Steve was Co-Executive Producer of the CBS hit Tracker and has written for DC’s Stargirl (CW), God Friended Me (CBS), Tell Me Your Secrets (Amazon Prime), American Crime (ABC) and Covert Affairs (USA). His original web series SEND ME premiered on BET.com and earned a 2016 Emmy Nomination.

Steve’s plays have been produced across the country with The Fire This Time Festival, The 24 Hours Plays on Broadway, at Juilliard, Northwestern University, and Georgia Southern University and have been honored with multiple awards. His solo-show SNOW: [black man. whiteout conditions.] premieres with PlayGround’s SoloFest in San Francisco in early 2025. His collection A Few Short Plays to Save the World won a 2023 Independent Press Award. Steve is a graduate of Yale, The A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard and the playwriting program at Juilliard. He co-hosts Beyond the Script Podcast with Nick Jobe and has coached writers and artists since 2008 through his company Your Creative Life.
